Here are two inspiration boards that I made for my new project. I am creating a brand identity for a Skin Care - Body Products retail store. These boards represent two different directions that I could take this project.

I've decided that my Skin Care - Body Products are going to be made from all natural ingredients and minerals from the Dead Sea because they are in their purest form and in their highest concentration.

My retail store also is helping a social issue. 5 % of all sales are donated to UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization), specially for the use of setting up Regional Centers on Urban Water Management in third world country communities that do not have access to clean water.

I've decided to go with the second board because it will relate to my products and my social issue better.

The two names that I came up with were BELOW SEA and 23 BELOW. I came up with the name 23 Below because at the bottom of the Dead Sea is 2300 feet below sea level. I tried different type solutions for both names. I am going with 23 Below because there are more directions to go with it.

By the end of this project I will have the finished logo, an in-store environment, an ad campaign, an online store, and an iphone app.

TWISTED Surf Shop System

Here is a business system I created for a fictitious surf shop, TWISTED. I created their logo and applied it to a letterhead, envelope, and business card. I also applied the mark to a full page magazine ad, a billboard and created an iphone app where the consumer can shop on their phone.

Passion Pit CD

In my Advanced Design Practice I had to design numerous items for the band Passion Pit, including the 6 panel CD package. The album name that I came up with was "Meat Me in the Canyons". I wanted the theme to be fun so I decided to sculpt out the band members (the best I could) and go from there.  I felt like I had to put a canyon in there somewhere. But I thought that could get a bit repetitive so I also incorporated space to add more interest to it.

Butterfly Greeting Cards

These are my butterfly cards that I made last semester in my Drawing and Media Methods 3 class. We had to design a set of 5 cards using block printing materials. So I choose a theme of butterflies. I came up with 5 different butterflies, drew them, then caved them out of a plastic or wood block with carving tools. I only used black ink when I stamped them on paper. Then I scanned them into the computer and messed with them in photoshop by duplicating, rotating, and coloring them and added the text.

I just won a Bronze Addy Award for these. This is my first real accomplishment in design so far. So I am very happy with the outcome of these cards. I plan on pushing the limits on these a little more to make them better and when I do I will post them on here.

And here are the actual stamps that I carved out for the cards.
